Welcome!
My name is Morgan Knauth and I am so excited to join you in this journey! I live in North TX and teach STEAM in Terrell ISD! I've also taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade Reading and Social Studies, 6th grade RLA and Social Studies, and 7th grade Reading. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX (GO JACKS!) in 2011 with my B.S. in Elementary Education and hold a M.Ed. in Education Administration from Texas A&M University - Commerce. I am TExES certified EC-6 Generalist and ESL. I am Region 10 GT certified along with being a Code.org Certified Teacher, Seesaw Pioneer, Google Certified Educator and Google Certified Trainer. I also have my principal certification.
I have a passion for instructional technology and curriculum. I love helping teachers integrate technology into lessons as a way that enhance learning and make it more meaningful to the learner's real life and future world. I believe innovation in our instruction is key to producing contributing members of society who have the knowledge as well as the soft-skills that universities, employers, and just overall citizens are looking for. I am highly interested in using Google Tools to make our lives as teachers easier and to help students communicate in ways that make sense to them. I'm also a big believer in teaching coding pre-k through 12th grades because of the amazing skills it provides the participant academically, socially, and just the thinking skills that coding scaffolds. Ultimately I just want to make ripples in the world around me, helping one teacher at a time to work smarter using Instructional Technology and innovation to make their learners the most successful they can be.
