Google has amazing tools for education ranging from their version of the Office Suite, to Google Classroom, and Google Expeditions. I use Google DAILY myself and near daily with my learners. If you haven't tried Google Tools, I challenge you to check them out this year. You can find resources on "how to Google" on my page under Technology Tools, titled Google Tools.

Padlet has always been my go-to for brainstorming boards BUT I'm starting to fall for Wakelet. These are great tools for collaboration.

- One Password - because we have to keep track of so many passwords!
- Read&Write for Google Chrome - it has so many great features for learners, specifically SPED, ELL, 504, but really for all learners. Check out my Google Tools page for more information about this AWESOME extension that really should be available to all learners.
- Save to Google Drive - this is a lifesaver! Just click on this extension to save things to Google, from PDFs to full webpages. Again, check out my Google Tools page for a how to on this extension.
- Tab Scissors & Tab Glue - this will automatically split your tabs into equal sized windows and then, using tab glue, it will automatically paste your tabs back into 1 window. This is great for transcribing as well as for data.
- Boomerang - I use the Boomerang extension, calendar add on, and Boomerang for Gmail tool. It works like a Boomerang and sends the item back to you at a date and time you set. This helps me with reminders to check an e-mail or visit a blog again to finish reading.
- Eye Dropper - if you're OCD like me about the colors matching when creating things on Canva, etc. Eye dropper is for you! I'll pull the color and give you the identifier.
- 360Cities Tab Extension - this is so fun! It sets your home screen background on Chrome to a different city around the world. For the World Geography teacher like me, or just a teacher who wants to day dream, this is a unique and exciting extension.
- Save to Keep - using this extension allows you to save things to your Google Keep (like Notes on the iPhone). If you have a Google account, you have Google Keep. Check my Google Tools page for using Google Keep in your classroom. It's very handy and something kids and teachers alike need to know how to use!
This is what saves my sanity about every 45 minutes of my day! Here's my tips for you when using GoNoodle.
- Have a designated picker for that day.
- Let them pick 1 hype video.
- Then pick 1 mindfulness video (yoga, etc.).
- Participate with your learners!
I really appreciate the Instructional Strategies Playlists. They also have a great app with a random question generator that is handy.

I love making my own things and Canva allows me to do that. I can personalize my classroom in a few short steps, usually while I'm sitting on my couch watching TV.

I love using breakouts for both sides of learning, introducing new content and reviewing at the end of a unit. They're fun and meaningful while encouraging communication, collaboration, and deep thinking.

- Points - Individual, group, or whole class points. I don't like to take away points but rather start at 0 and add points. If I do take away points I try to be firm-fair-consistent with all learners. I also try to keep the rule of reinforcing wanted behaviors by recognizing those behaviors 3-5 times following removing points. Also, I've used Dojo with Kindergarteners and 6th Graders, they all respond to it. Now I also used "tickets" or "cash" with my bigs.
- Portfolios - Similar to SeeSaw, learners can upload work into an assignment category or just upload work they're proud of. They can take a photo of it or video and explain what they did. Parents will get notified as soon as it's uploaded, which is so cool! Parents love it!
- Messages - This is where things get cool! If you usually use Remind, then this will streamline you from having to use multiple tools. You can send messages to ALL parents, or just 1 parent. Parents can also message you.
- Tools - Toolkit, Attendance, Random, Timer, Big Ideas - I like to keep Dojo pulled up on a tab at all times because of these tools.
